Quickstart: your own telephony

Bridge Twilio, Telnyx, or Plivo to an agent.

Keep your carrier and stream audio to a WebSocket we return.

1. Create a session when a call arrives

   <Connect><Stream> is bidirectional. <Start><Stream> is send-only and gives you an agent that hears the caller but cannot answer.

2. Or use your own client

   For a mobile app or custom bridge, pick your own audio parameters:

   Both sample rates are required when connectionType is websocket — a hard 400, not a default.

telnyx and plivo work identically — set connectionType and point that provider’s media stream at websocketUrl.
